  • Frans Willuhn

Cover addressed to Ministerialrat Frans Willuhn in Berlin. Ref: 24.10.1935 24th October 1935 1/0 Cover addressed to Ministerialrat Frans Willuhn in Berlin. Ref: 24.10.1935 Frans Willuhn (1885-1979) In 1933, Willuhn joined the Reich Chancellery as Ministerialrat. He attended the funeral service for Paul von Hindenburg in the Tannenberg memorial on 7th August 1934 as an official guest. When the process of bringing the student fraternities into line was to be completed in 1935, Willuhn supported State Secretary Hans Heinrich Lammers in his unsuccessful efforts to ensure the continued existence of the fraternities in the form of a National Socialist overall organization. In 1937 he joined the NSDAP and was appointed Reich Cabinet Councilor in the same year, responsible for the areas of economy and transport. On 21st April 1945, Willuhn was seconded to Grand Admiral Karl Dönitz in Plön. The family archives at Willuhn's house in Schlachtensee were confiscated by the Commandant of the American Sector of Berlin .
