Ref: Box 1 only shown here In 1933, a Reichsfachgruppe Imker (apiarist) was created to incorporate the national association of apiarists. The local associations (verein) became Ortsfachgruppen. Karl Vetter was Bundesführer of the Reichsfachgruppe from 1933-1939. It seems that from 1939 the apiarist were mobilised to provide honey for the war effort.
