The instruction to the upper left reads, 'If the recipient has moved, do not forward, but return to the sender stating the new address', the single line below this reads, 'Do not forward abroad'. Ref: 28.02.1939 - 16/85 Wehrbezirkskommando Wehrbezirkskommando - the administration and monitoring of conscription. The military district commands formed the administrative level below the military replacement districts (Wehrersatzbezirk) of a military district. A military replacement district usually comprised several military district commands. Possible location of Wehrbezirkskommando - The Palce of Justice, Nuremberg The Palace of Justice is a building in Nuremberg at Fürther Straße 110 in the Bärenschanze district. It is the seat of the Nuremberg Higher Regional Court, the Nuremberg-Fürth Regional Court, the Nuremberg District Court and the Nuremberg-Fürth Public Prosecutor's Office, the Memorium Nuremberg Trials and the International Academy of Nuremberg Principles. The Nuremberg Palace of Justice is the largest judicial building in Bavaria. During the Second World War, Wehrmacht departments and municipal and state institutions moved into the building. A total of 16 extrajudicial offices, including the command of an air force unit, the district military commissioner of the Reich Minister for Armaments and Munitions , the commander of the Nuremberg Armaments Command , the commander of the Nuremberg Military District Command, the Nuremberg-Fürth Trade Inspectorate, the Nuremberg-Fürth Reichsbank headquarters, departments of the Nuremberg-Fürth police headquarters, the criminal police, the Secret State Police (Gestapo) and the Reich Postal Directorate as well as the district administrator and the Victoria Works were housed there over time. An air raid on November 27, 1944 caused massive glass damage. Another air raid on February 21, 1945 left three dead and seven injured after five bombs hit the main building.
