Commemorative postcards

Postcard commemorating the 6th German War Veterans Day in Kassel. The card had previously been issued for the 5th German War Veterans Day in 1934. However, this was cancelled (possibly due to the Röhm-Putsch, aka, 'Night of the Long Knives'). Therefore with surplus stock it was re-issued with an overprint in red to the foot of the card stating, '6.-8. Juli 1935'. Lesser seen postcard. Ref: 07.07.1935, BV1259
